Fighting Climate Warming through Agroforestry in Haiti
Philippe Duhamel
As part of Climate Action Summit 2019 at the UN, Haiti is one of the island countries most affected by global warming, with massive erosion problems. We commend the efforts of rural populations to raise awareness. Kudos to those who practice agroforestry.
The Association paysanne pour le développement de la Montagne (APDLAM) brings together hundreds of farmers and peasants form all over the valley and supports agroforestry development with tens of thousands of seedlings produced in its nurseries. Awesome!
