Youssou N'Dour is a musical genius and a friend. Tonight, he is paying homage to Africa and magnifying life in the very Bataclan that saw 90 people brutally cut down, one year ago. I am deeply moved by this concert, a true ode to love, music, and dance; a renewed assertion that the arts and culture are the ultimate bulwarks against all forms of barbarity.
