Growth not inclusive of women and youth is but an illusion

Joining the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Panel of Eminent Persons in Geneva with clear focus on truly inclusive, sustainable development goals (SDG) in new era of globalization.

After a warm welcome by Secretary-General of UNCTAD, His Excellency Mr. Mukhisa Kituyi, I felt the eagerness of our Group at the Palace of Nations in Geneva to start work on urgent problems related to fair trade, socially responsible development, shared growth, the challenges of the technological revolution, ethical issues, and the emergency of global warming and its devastating impacts, especially on the most vulnerable countries, small island States in particular.

With the Secretary General of UNCTAD, H.E. Mr. Mukhisa Kituyi, the President of Armania, H.E. Mr. Armen Sarkissian, and Dr. Naoko Isii, CEO of Global Environment Facility, all eager to get to work!
